Mission: To guide people on their personal journeys and help them discover and develop their self-healing inner potential.
Vision: To create a safe healing space and global community for people to practice building greater awareness and deepen their spiritual experiences.
Yin Healing Paths helps people find balance between the body, mind, and spirit through various mindfulness-based movements and meditation. The goal of our programs is to change people’s relationship with their pain, fear, discomfort, and other negative thoughts and feelings. Through mindful practice, we can learn to accept and live with these feelings rather than running from or fighting them.
Values
Yin Healing Paths welcomes and works with all ages and all backgrounds. Our programs work to develop awareness and acceptance – both of ourselves and others around us. Our research, teachings, and practices are guided by the following core values.
- Open-Mindedness: Learn, practice, and live with an open heart and mind. Attempt to suspend judgement – both internal commentary and critical analysis of ourselves, and external opinions of other people and other things.
- Beginner’s Mind: Join every practice with the mind and attitude of a beginner. Even through repetition and routine, there will always be new or different things one can learn and discover.
- Non-striving: Being mindful and fully present is not something than can be forced, rather it is something we must let naturally happen through patience and practice.
- Acceptance: Without judgement, acknowledging our thoughts and feelings as they arise – both through formal and informal mindfulness practice.
- Patience: Just like with any other mental or physical skill, acknowledging that developing mindfulness takes time and consistent practice.
